Device Configuration

How do I open the Device Configuration dialog box?
Right-click a device in
FactoryTalk Linx
 Browser
 and select
Device Configuration
.
The
Device Configuration
 dialog box includes tabs that contains the port and network configuration of a device. They are Internet Protocol, Port Configuration, Network Configuration, and IP Mode.
小贴士:
  • This option is grayed out if the user has no permission in
    FactoryTalk Security
     to access the device configuration or if the advanced option has disabled it, or the device is in Explicit Protected Mode.
  • Users need to set permission in
    Feature Security Properties
     >
    Policy Settings
     >
    Open Device Configuration
    .
The button/option is only available when:
  • The device supports this function
  • Advanced Settings
     >
    Enable Device Configuration
     is selected.

  • The user is permitted access through
    FactoryTalk Security
    .
  • The device is in unprotected mode.
These tabs are not available in
FactoryTalk Linx
 Network Browser for all devices.
