LLDP tab
Select the
LLDP
tab to view and edit the Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) settings and access information from connected devices. LLDP is a low level Ethernet protocol used to identify external devices connected to each device’s network interface connection. The Open Vendors Device Association (ODVA) incorporated LLDP into the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) and expanded it to include CIP device identity information to enhance the ability to identify CIP devices connected in an automation system. This tab is only available for devices that support LLDP detection.Setting | Description |

Global Configuration and Information | |
Global LLDP Status | Shows the status of LLDP detection in this device. Select Enabled to turn on the LLDP detection. Unselect Enabled to turn it off. |
LLDP Datastore | Shows the retrieval methods for the LLDP database supported by the device, including:

Parameter Configuration | |
Transmit Interval | Shows the interval in seconds at which LLDP frames are transmitted from this device. |
Hold Multiplier | Shows a multiplier of Transmit Interval to determine the value sent to neighbor devices. |
Port Configuration and Device Connected | |
Port | Shows the port name of this device. |
Outgoing Enabled | Indicates whether this port is enabled to send information. If this port is enabled, it is used to send this device's information to the neighbor device and receive information from the neighbor device. If this port is disabled, this device only receives the neighbor device information through this port. |
Neighbor Information | Shows the information for the devices connected to each port of this device, including:
