Add a driver with a Device List/Range

When adding a driver, use a device list or a range of IP addresses to make sure broadcast messages reach the desired devices.
小贴士: Devices configured in the Network Browser’s Ethernet driver List and Bridge configuration are visible in FactoryTalk Administration Console. But you need to return to the Network Browser to modify the configurations.
To add a driver with a Device List/Range
  1. From the
    FactoryTalk Linx
     Network Browser
    , select
    Configure Drivers
    Configure Drivers.
  2. In
    Configure Drivers
    , select
    Ethernet
     in
    Available Drivers
    , and then select
    Add New
    .
  3. In
    Configure Driver > General > Discovery Method
    , select
    Device List/Range
    .
  4. (optional) In
    Name
    , type a name for the driver.
  5. To add an IP address, range of IP addresses or Domain Name Server (DNS) host name to the list, select
    Add New
    .
    小贴士:
    You can use
    Paste
     to add multiple items to the list copied from an external Windows software, such as notepad or Excel. A maximum of 255 items are supported in the device list.
  6. (optional) In the
    Advanced
     tab, configure the network interface and the network browsing speed.
  7. Select
    OK
     to save the settings and close the
    Configure Drivers
     dialog box.
