Start FactoryTalk Alarms and Events Database Update Utility

FactoryTalk Alarms and Events
 Database Update Utility is automatically installed along with
FactoryTalk Alarms and Events
 when you install
FactoryTalk View SE
.
To start
FactoryTalk Alarms and Events
 Database Update Utility
  1. Select
    Start > All Programs > Rockwell Software > FactoryTalk Alarms and Events > FTAE Database Update Utility
    .
  2. In the
    Connect to Server
     dialog box, enter the following information:
    • Server name
      The name of the
      Microsoft
      SQL Server
       instance. It must be the name of a server on the network, an IP address, or the name of the
      SQL Server
       Configuration Manger alias.
    • User name
      A valid
      SQL Server
       account.
      小贴士:
      Make sure to log on with an existing database user name that associated with the database whose tables you want to merge.
    • Password
      The password of the account.
  3. (optional) Configure sign-in options.
    Encrypt connection
    强制对连接进行加密。
    Trust server certificate
    • 如果选中
      加密连接
      ：
      • 如果清除
        信任服务器证书
        ，HMI 服务器或报警和事件服务器将启动证书握手过程，以验证 SQL Server 计算机上的证书。如果证书不存在或证书验证失败，则关闭连接。
        重要说明
        ： 在清除了
        信任服务器证书
         设置的情况下，如果将 SQL Server 用于 FactoryTalk View SE 数据网格，则必须为 HMI 服务器配置证书。如果将 SQL Server 用于报警和事件，则必须为报警和事件服务器配置证书。

      • 如果选中
        信任服务器证书
        ，HMI 服务器或报警和事件服务器不会验证 SQL Server 计算机上的证书。
    • 如果清除
      加密连接
      ，则会忽略
      信任服务器证书
      设置。
  4. Click
    Log on
    .
