Bridge Configuration dialog, Advanced

Use the
Advanced
tab on the
Add Driver
dialog box to configure settings that control how the devices in the bridge configuration are distributed over the network.
Setting
Description
Poll interval between discovery cycles (msec)
The number of milliseconds that occur between each time the
FactoryTalk Linx
Network Browser
queries the network.
Poll timeout (msec):
Specifies the amount of time (in milliseconds) to wait for poll Responses from devices.
Maximum concurrent packets to this network
Used to configure the maximum number of requests that can be waiting for a response on this network at any given time as part of the browsing process.
Enable discovery using subnet mask
Automatically discovers or communicates to devices in a subnet (up to 1000 maximum) at a slow rate without manual IP configuration.
Important:
Enabling the discovery option can significantly increases network traffic. Determine the impact on your network before enabling this command.
Tip:
This option is visible when bridging through a controller or across a chassis to an EtherNet/IP network.
Enable discovery using gateway’s LLDP table
Automatically discovers devices in the EtherNet/IP in-cabinet network using the gateway device’s LLDP table without manual IP configuration. The network browser periodically communicates to the in-cabinet gateway to determine if there are changes to its LLDP neighbor table and refreshes the browser topology when needed.
Tip:
  • This option is visible only when the network configuration includes an EthernNet/IP in-cabinet network using the 10BASE-T1S protocol.
  • This option uses a targeted discovery method, reducing the network traffic.
Reset
Used to return the Tuning settings to the default values.
