Overview

This course explores the various welding and cutting techniques used in metal fabrication. Students will receive instruction on how to select appropriate cutting tips and adjust fuel pressures to obtain a neutral flame. The course will cover proper setup and safe usage of oxy-acetylene cutting equipment, and students will learn how to perform oxy-acetylene cutting and fusion welding. The course will also cover proper flame settings for welding tip size and material thickness, and students will learn how to match filler metals to base metals for fusion welding.
