Backplane tab

This tab provides general status and diagnostic-related information about the ControlLogix backplane. The tab for all three fields contains information about the ControlLogix backplane. To view backplane information, select the
Backplane
 tab. From this tab, you can view:
General information
Field
Description
ControlBus Status
The current state of the interface between the module and the ControlBus.
Slot Address
The slot number of this module in the ControlLogix chassis. (Slot 0 is the leftmost slot.)
Rack information
Field
Description
Rack Size
The number of slots in the ControlLogix chassis.
Serial Number
The serial number of the ControlLogix chassis.
Revision
The revision level of the ControlLogix chassis.
Backplane information
Field
Description
Received Multicast CRC Errors
The number of multicast ControlBus transfers this module sent that a recipient declared as having a CRC error. This is typically caused by electrical noise getting coupled into the ControlBus.
Received Bad CRC
The number of point-to-point ControlBus transfers this module sent that a recipient declared as having a CRC error. This is typically caused by electrical noise getting coupled into the ControlBus.
Received Bus Timeouts
The number of ControlBus transfers that this module initiated that exceeded the maximum transfer time. This is typically caused by a hardware failure.
Transmit Bad CRC
The number of point-to-point ControlBus transfers this module declared as having a CRC error. This is typically caused by electrical noise getting coupled into the ControlBus.
Transmit Bus Timeout
The number of ControlBus transfers that this module received that exceeded the maximum transfer time. This is typically caused by a hardware failure.
Multicast CRC Error Threshold
The number of consecutive errors that will be reported as a module fault.
Transmit Retry Limit
The number of times a transmission is attempted before declaring the transmission has failed.
