Configure a shortcut to connect through a FactoryTalk Linx Gateway remote proxy server

Starting from FactoryTalk Linx version 6.40.00, you can use a shortcut to connect through a FactoryTalk Linx Gateway remote proxy server. This will permit a FactoryTalk software in one system to pass communications to controllers and devices in a different system or network across a computer running FactoryTalk Linx Gateway. The FactoryTalk Linx service can operate in a different FactoryTalk directory than the one used by FactoryTalk Linx Gateway. Data delivery speeds will be from 5% to 50% slower through the proxy server than the system without the proxy server. The tested maximum capacity between a proxy server and a client is as follows:
  • 50 shortcuts
  • 500,000 tags, with a 2 second subscription rate
小贴士:
This data is provided as an example capacity. The test did not verify all value changes that were delivered. Because each system has different operational requirements, testing should be performed to determine how a proposed system will operate.
