Import/Paste Configuration Dialog Box - Configure Data Type Properties Overview
Use this dialog box to import multiple Data Types or String Types into the project. The import is executed by selecting multiple Data Types or String Types in the Controller Organizer:
- Exporting the Data Types or String Types, and then selecting theImport Componentoption from the File menu in the Controller Organizer or the Logical Organizer, or
- Copying the Data Types or String Types, right-clicking in the Controller Organizer and selecting thePaste Special>With Configurationoption from the menu.
The Data Types or String Types are listed only in the Controller Organizer.
TIP:
The
Paste Special >With Configuration
menu option works when copying from the Controller Organizer to the Logical Organizer, or vice versa.Data Type or String Type references are listed in the Import Content Tree. References include any tags directly referenced by any imported logic and tags (via Alias For). Referenced components are configured independent of the project that you are importing content into.
Parameters
Multiple Data Types
The Import Content pane highlights that multiple User-Defined Data Types or String Types are being imported into the project. If there are differences among the User-Defined Data Types or String Types, the difference icon appears in the Differences column of the Configure Data Type References grid.
Imported Data Types
Provides a summary of the number of User-Defined Data Types or String Types and other references that are being imported into the project.
