Failed to modify module properties
There was a problem modifying the module’s properties. The error message you receive indicates one of the following conditions:
Access denied
Check with your Security Administrator to be sure you have access to the file.
This module requires a name
You did not enter a name for the module, or removed the current name.Enter a valid module name.
The module already exists
You tried to name the Module to a name that is already in use by another module.Choose a different name for this module, or rename the other module.
Invalid Requested Packet Interval (RPI)
The RPI is outside of the valid range.Enter a valid RPI. (See the Connection tab for more information about RPI.)
Network Address Not Set
The Node field on the General page must not be blank; enter the correct node number and try again.A blank Node field occurs when converting a pre-V12.00 RSLogix 5000 software project file, which does not have a specified Node field.
Invalid Node Address
The node address entered is outside of the valid range for the current network.Enter a valid node address (1 - 99).
Invalid Rack Address
The rack address entered is invalid.Enter a valid rack address.
Invalid axis association
An attempt to map an axis to more than one channel has occurred.Map the axis to one channel only.
Invalid module group
The module group number is invalid.Enter a valid group number.
The RIO-MODULE slot number was invalid. Valid slot numbers are zero and one
The slot number you entered was invalid.Enter a valid slot number in the range specified.
The tag does not reference a valid object or target
The base tag to which this tag refers is not valid.Enter a valid base tag.
An attempt was made to reduce the size of the chassis with a module in one of the eliminated slots.
There is a module currently located in the slot you are trying to remove from the chassis.Move or delete the module before reducing the size of the chassis.
Slot number in use by another module
You selected a slot number that is occupied by another module.Re-select an empty slot or cancel this operation.
Child will not work under the specified port
You are attempting to use the wrong parent channel because the parent channel is not set to RIO.Select the parent channel, for the channel of the parent module, configured to be RIO.
Node number in use by another module
You have selected a node number that is currently being used in the system.Select the number of a node that is not being used by another module.
Invalid minor revision. Enter a number between 1 and 255.
You entered a minor revision number (in the revision edit box) outside of the valid range (1-255).Re-enter a number within the valid range.
TIP:
If you use the spin control to set the minor revision, it will always be within the valid range.
Rack in conflict with another rack. Overlap in rack address, starting group, and size combination.
You are attempting to use modules that are already being used by another rack configuration. In other words, a different module has been configured with a rack/size combination that precludes the chosen rack/group/size combination.
Change the rack/group/size combination so that it does not overlap the previously configured modules.
Cannot associate a virtual or consumed axis with a motion module.
You have attempted to use a virtual or consumed axis with a motion module, and this is not allowed. Change the module association to None or to an axis that is not virtual or consumed.
Failed to reconfigure port because configuration is invalid with its children.
You cannot change a DHRIO channel from RIO to DH+ when the port has remote I/O modules configured under it. First delete or move the modules, and then you will be able to reconfigure the port.
