Additional Fault Information

The Module Fault 16#0009 indicates an error in the configuration sent to the module. The module rejects the configuration and a connection is not made. This additional fault information indicates what part of the configuration is in error. The configuration can be in error if changes were made via the Data Monitor or programmatically via ladder logic.
Use this additional error information to correct your configuration changes, or use the I/O Configuration software to validate the configuration and correct the problem.
To force the software to validate the configuration:
  1. Right-click on the module in the I/O Configuration Folder in the Controller Organizer and select
    Properties
    .
  2. Change any editable value on the General tab and immediately change it back to force
    Apply
     to be enabled.
  3. Click
    Apply
     to validate the configuration.
    An appropriate message appears indicating the configuration error for one of the following modules that sends additional fault information:
